What is Metal Forging?

Metal forging is a manufacturing method used to shape stock metal into a desired shape or geometry. Metal forging produces some of the strongest and toughest iron and steel items when compared to other processes.

There are many different types of metal forging processes but they all follow the same principle of changing the shape of a metal work piece by compressing it between two dies. The metal can be worked while hot or cold and can be worked in open, impression and flashless dies.

All types of metals can be forged with iron and steel being the most common. Shapes such as rods, beams, levers, sprockets, crankshafts and gear blanks are commonly created through forging processes.

Adarsh Australia provides custom forged parts of exceptional strength and quality out of a whole range of different metals. We also provide secondary machining services for your forged parts.
